How to watch VR porn on Meta Quest 3S
The Quest 3S is the cheaper version of the Quest 3. It has the same processor and colour passthrough, but a lower-resolution screen (1832 × 1920 per eye) and Fresnel lenses instead of pancake lenses. Everything in our Quest 3 guide works on the 3S; this page covers what is different.
What resolution to choose
The 3S screen shows less detail than the Quest 3, so the very highest-resolution files gain less. In practice:
- 6K is the sweet spot. Sharp on the 3S, smaller files and smoother streaming.
- 8K still looks good, but the improvement over 6K is smaller than on a Quest 3. Pick it when you download rather than stream.
- Avoid sub-4K files if you can; they look soft even on the 3S.
Three ways to watch
- Meta Quest Browser: log in to the site, open a scene and tap the VR icon in the player. Quickest way to start.
- A VR video player: PLAY'A, DeoVR, HereSphere or SKYBOX VR give better image controls than the browser and let you stream with your login.
- Downloads: download in the headset browser, or copy files from a PC over USB-C to the Movies folder.
Passthrough (AR) scenes

Fit matters more on the 3S
Fresnel lenses have a smaller sharp area in the centre. Adjust the lens spacing (three positions on the 3S) and the strap so the centre of the image is crisp, and turn your head rather than your eyes to look around.
